Mr. Sprinkles was a Judge of the Superior Court in Santa Clara County from 1993 to 2000.  As a trial judge, his responsibilities included law and motion and settlement conferences, and most recently, team leadership and case manager.  From 1973 to 1993, Mr. Sprinkles was a trial lawyer, representing plaintiffs in personal injury suits, primarily in the area of construction accidents, product liability and negligence, with numerous jury trials.

Mr. Sprinkles received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University in 1967, and graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1973.  From 1993 to 2000 he attended Settlement/Mediation Training at the California Judges College, and in 1999 attended the Harvard Law School Mediation Program.

He is a past president of the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association, a past member of the Board of Governors of the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association, a past member of the Board of Governors of the California Trial Lawyers Association, and twice the recipient of the California Trial Lawyers Association Presidential Award of Merit.

From 1967 to 1970 he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, Infantry Company Commander Republic of Vietnam.  He was awarded two Silver Stars, three Bronze Stars, and the Purple Heart.
